David Meredith

David handles Commercial matters, specialising in IP & Technology and outsourcing transactions. He has particular expertise in structuring complex international deals and in restructuring underperforming deals. Before joining Temple Bright in 2014, David was an executive partner at RPC and a partner and head of the outsourcing practice at each of SJ Berwin and Kemp Little in the City. He has also spent periods in-house in technology companies, UK central government and aviation. The Legal 500 has said that “he shows impressive strategic thinking” and Chambers UK that “he has a gravitas that is useful in dealing with suppliers on the opposite side of the table”.


Relevant experience at Temple Bright and previous firms includes:

  • Acting for a global IT services vendor on the conclusion of major contract renewals with customers in the financial services, communications and retail sectors.
  • Acting for one of the world’s largest airports on successive IT and service transformation programmes, including the second-generation multi-sourcing of end-to-end ICT infrastructure, and on the procurement of baggage systems, Oracle Cloud SaaS ERP and next generation surface transport infrastructure and services.
  • Advising a NYSE-listed global information services provider on contract process transformation, including contract process design and the development of template contracts and playbooks.
  • Acting for the BBC on the UK’s Digital Switchover Help Scheme.
  • Acting for air transport industry ICT provider SITA, including on successive renewals of its global strategic partnership with France Telecom.
  • Acting for the Department of Health on the NHS National Programme for IT and subsequently, on the roll-out of the NHS Common User Interface to 800,000 plus users.
  • Acting for the prime contractor on the provision of the UK MoD’s Defence Information Infrastructure programme.
