Ian Davies

Ian handles Real Estate matters. He has over 20 years’ experience advising developers, funders and trading businesses on all aspects of secured funding, development/infrastructure projects, promotion arrangements and general investment deals. Ian worked for six years at City firm Trowers & Hamlins and then joined DAC Beachcroft in Bristol. Before joining Temple Bright in 2016 Ian was a partner at the South West firm Mogers Drewett where he led the real estate team in Bath for five years. Ian has been recommended by the legal guides Chambers UK and The Legal 500.

Experience

Relevant experience at Temple Bright includes:

• Acting for a major regional high street supermarket chain since 2007 on its programme of store acquisitions and new build stores, and the demolition and mixed use redevelopment of one of its major town centre stores.
• Acting for a developer on all legal aspects of its complex 5 year £18m south coast development of both new and existing tenanted flats.
• Acting for a developer on two circa £12m construction finance projects, together with the associated mezzanine funding.
• Acting for a family hotel and public house business on the acquisition of a new hotel and £3m refinance of its pub portfolio.
• Acting for two regional residential developers since 2007 on schemes ranging from to 6 to 80 units. Dealing with all aspects of their site acquisitions, associated construction funding, infrastructure documentation, land promotion agreements and development agreements.
