Kirsten Younger

Kirsten handles Dispute Resolution matters and advises on a wide range of contentious work, including contractual disputes across diverse industry sectors as well as director and shareholder disputes and fraud claims. She also has considerable experience of regulatory disputes, and prior to joining Temple Bright in 2013, Kirsten spent seven years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in the City and then spent seven years at BNP Paribas, where she handled a broad range of disputes and regulatory matters for the bank. Kirsten frequently succeeds in settling disputes prior to trial and has extensive experience of alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation.

Experience

Relevant experience at Temple Bright includes:

• Representing one of the claimants in a £600m claim against Grant Thornton in the English High Court.
• Acting for an individual in a multi-million pound claim against a syndicate of banks and one of the employees arising out of a syndicated loan and associated swaps transaction.
• Successfully defending various clients from claims for unpaid fees brought by other solicitors including a multi-million pound claim against one client.
• Acting for a large energy trading house on a complex IT dispute.
• Acting on numerous shareholder disputes in a variety of different sectors.
