Paul handles Corporate matters specialising in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and group reorganisations. He is experienced in private equity work including MBOs, MBIs and fundraisings, as well as general corporate matters and corporate governance. He also handles associated Commercial matters and is a member of our Energy & Environment team. Paul was a partner at Bond Pearce (now Womble Bond Dickinson) before joining Temple Bright in 2012. He has been ranked as a leading individual for corporate finance in the South West by legal guides Chambers UK and Legal 500. Chambers UK: “He thinks like a businessman in looking for solutions” and “sources say, ‘he understands what’s important in a deal and what we need to get out of it’”. Experience

Relevant experience at Temple Bright includes:

  • Acting for the sellers on the sale of Acteol, the UK’s leading provider of customer relationship management software, to The Access Group.
  • Acting for Ladbrokes Coral on betting shop transactions.
  • Acting for the sellers on a share sale disposal of their company operating a South West based franchise, including related franchise transfer.
  • Acting for various companies and management teams on early, follow-on and later stage investments.
  • Acting for The Consulting Room on the sale of its UK Hydrafacial distribution business.
  • Acting for the sellers on the disposal of a concrete and aggregates company.
  • Acting for sellers on company share sales relating to veterinary practices, including the sale of Emersons Green Veterinary Surgery to IVC.
  • Acting on various group reorganisation and internal shareholding arrangements, including capital reduction demergers, reductions of capital and buybacks of shares.
  • Acting for the sellers in relation to the sale of a South West based cloud computing and IT support business to a private equity backed trade buyer.
