Richard handles both contentious and non-contentious Employment matters. His clients include regional, national, international and listed companies in a range of sectors including marketing, hospitality, logistics and clean energy. Richard regularly acts for employers in relation to workforce change, employee relations management, senior exits, consultation in the context of redundancies and TUPE transfers and on employment liabilities involved in corporate transactions. He also has significant experience in managing complex multi-party disputes. He is a member of our Energy & Environment team. He has been described as “customer-focused, knowledgeable and pragmatic” in The Legal 500. In Chambers UK he has been recommended for his advice on TUPE and has been stated to “bring to the relationship a can-do approach, removing barriers that some law firms hide behind”. Before joining Temple Bright in 2020, Richard worked at Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs) in the City and was a partner at Foot Anstey.

- Acting for an international renewables company on business-wide restructuring projects.
- Advising an international data analytics business on employment liabilities in the context of corporate transactions and negotiating complex TUPE and indemnity wording.
- Supporting a well known service provider on the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants and on director/shareholder exits.
