Sarah Gudgin

Sarah handles both contentious and non-contentious Employment matters, advising employers and senior executives on the full range of employment issues. She focuses on finding practical solutions to problems that can arise during an employment relationship. Her practice covers a broad range of HR advisory work, from recruitment to negotiating exits, disciplinary, performance and capability issues, redundancies, TUPE and Employment Tribunal claims. She drafts employment documentation including service agreements, restrictive covenants, policies and procedures. Sarah also advises individuals on the matters above, together with grievance procedures, discrimination, strategic exits and settlement agreements. Before joining Temple Bright in 2022, Sarah spent a decade at Boodle Hatfield, before becoming a partner in niche employment law firm Signet Partners in 2011.

Experience

Relevant experience at Temple Bright and previous firms includes:

  • Advising individuals on all aspects of a workplace departure, from negotiating termination packages to terms of their settlement agreements.
  • Advising corporate clients in relation to redundancies and assisting in the preparation of all relevant documentation.
  • Advising corporate clients on a broad range of day-to-day HR matters, including performance issues, working time and holiday issues and maternity/family-friendly rights.
  • Advising corporate clients on a broad range of employment documentation to include the drafting of service agreements, restrictive covenants and policies and procedures.
  • Advising individuals on workplace grievances, disciplinaries and discrimination issues.
