Chris handles Commercial matters. He takes a pragmatic approach rooted in his extensive in-house experience, first at a semi-conductor foundry and then at Airbus and Mitel (a telecoms company). He has a wide-ranging practice including commercial contracts, terms and conditions, website terms, data protection matters and general commercial advice, with particular expertise in IP & Technology. He handles Corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and shareholder agreements. Chris is also a member of our ESG, Compliance & Investigations team. Before joining Temple Bright in 2012, Chris worked at Osborne Clarke and Eversheds and then in-house in the above roles, and was a partner and head of corporate and commercial in a leading Welsh firm. Chris has been recommended for corporate and commercial, IT/telecoms and intellectual property in The Legal 500, which states that he “explains things in plain English and understands the practicalities of doing business”.
Experience
Relevant experience at Temple Bright includes:
- Drafting and negotiating all varieties of commercial contracts.
- Advising start-ups and SMEs on their commercial requirements, such as supply and sales contracts / terms and conditions, website terms and privacy policies, as well as more generally as a “trusted adviser”.
- Providing outsourced in-house counsel services to clients (including a secondment to a commercial director role).
- Advising in relation to equity investments, mergers, company sales and acquisitions.
- Drafting and advising on shareholders agreements, Articles of Association and other corporate documentation.
- Advising on sophisticated technology matters.
